Kickstart the Fall season with a clean home and appliances

Summer is winding down and Fall is almost upon us. That means back-to-school, football, the smell of pumpkin spice wafting through the air, crisp Fall weather, and a busy home as we prepare for the holidays. During the fall season, we also spend more time indoors, perhaps cozying up to the fireplace, than in our backyard around the grill. It can be a joyous time, yet overwhelming, time for everyone. There are guests to be entertained, homework to be done, pies to be baked, and a home that needs constant TLC.

Spring isn’t the only season it pays to have a happy and clean home. After all, we spend a lot of time indoors when the weather gets cold and the days get shorter. Dura-Shine Clean wants to make this Fall season one that’s stress-free, memorable, and fulfilling. What better way than letting us handle all your cleaning needs? Our passion may be cleaning, but our motivation is the bliss of our clients!

Want to get a head start for fall cleaning? One thing you can do right now is clean your appliances! Cleaning your appliances ensure the cleanliness of your environment but helps appliances run more efficiently, and since we’re spending more time indoors, now is the time to do it!

Cleaning your refrigerator for Fall It’s hard to notice exactly how dirty your refrigerator can get when it’s stocked with food, leftovers, and produce. But your refrigerator can get really dirty, just think about spilled juices, condiments, milk, crumbs, and leaky Tupperware! Take the time to remove all the items inside your refrigerator and give it a good scrub down with antibacterial cleaners. Don’t miss the condenser coils and the door gaskets if your refrigerator has a theme. Cleaning these will help your refrigerator run more efficiently. Cleaning your refrigerator ensures the health and hygiene of your kitchen and your cooking.

Your DishwasherYou’d think that something that was made for cleaning wouldn’t get so dirty, but you’d be wrong. Since we usually tend to put dirty plates inside, our dishwasher can quickly become a safe haven for filth! Not to worry, cleaning it is easy and we’ve got the scoop. First, remove the bottom dish rack and inspect the drain, removing any gunk or food that tends to be caught there. This usually is a preventative measure to improve efficiency and extend the life of your appliance. For cleaning the dishwasher you can use some baking soda rinse and sponge to wipe down the interior.

To clean thoroughly empty the dishwasher entirely, you can place a cup of white vinegar in a dishwasher safe container in the upper rack of the machine and run the dishwasher through a hot water cycle, which will wash away all the grime and grease that accumulates in the corners of the dishwasher.

Cleaning your Stove for Fall BakingDon’t let the grime keep you away from the Fall baking. This Fall you should invest some time in deep cleaning your stove! Some models are self-cleaning, then it will be easier for you. You can use an oven cleaner, but a good alternative is an ammonia, it works like magic. Place ammonia in a ceramic dish overnight to easily remove some of the grime that is baked in the oven. Please be aware of children around the ammonia, and be sure to use gloves and open kitchen windows.
